Where do you get your creativity from?
For as long as I can remember, I was always surrounded by the arts and creative people. From my grandmother who was a hairdresser to movie actresses and early days of television in the Philippines, we lived over top of my mom’s dress salon, my father had a shirt tailoring shop around the corner and I was a shadow to my uncle,
a self-taught guitar guru and a very talented graphic artist himself. Along with the exciting transformative culture of the late sixties, some of my earliest artistic influences were religious iconography and paintings by the masters from postcards sent to me by my aunt,, who was a nun in Rome. While most children were being taught how to hold a crayon, I was handed a pen with a nib and an ink well at the age of four by my grandfather, on my father’s side. Ever grateful for my grandfather’s patience in teaching me the importance of penmanship. It has immensely advanced my manual dexterity, along with being able to control one’s breath and learning about mindfulness.
So you see, I was exposed to fashion, art, craft, and entrepreneurship throughout my childhood.

Friends, if the pen is mightier than the sword,
then my pencil is the
P-Funk Mothership.
And I will wield it with
the care a bonobo shows
her baby, the steady hand
of a cosmetic surgeon completing the last installment on a jet
and the indomitable
strength of Bruce Lee's
"quart-of-blood" technique.
Tell us something most people do not know about you ?

From an early age, in Manila, Philippines, I have embodied and been obsessed with athletics and the arts. Through years of disciplined training, head-to-head competition, winning individually, as well as being a member of several outstanding amateur teams, as an adult. I learned what it takes to become a champion. I also learned how to overcome adversity and the importance of the team. Athletics has been and continues to be the most unforgettable and formative influence in my professional career.

For the last two seasons, I am a Proud member of
the Northern Red Knights, coaching staff,
2022 - 2023 Toronto City Champions.
“Champions are made from something they have deep inside them - a desire, a dream, a vision.
They have to have the skill, and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.” - Muhammad Ali
Manifesting Dreams
I continued my pursuit of the arts by studying and attending OCAD, Parsons School of Design in New York and Paris. Recruited out of school while in Paris, by global apparel brand Benetton., under the direction of Lison Bonfils. My career in the fashion industry has spanned 3 decades creating bold, brave, and compelling designs, with influential progressive global brands such as Benetton, Club Monaco, Caban, President’s Choice,
Joe Fresh, and Joe Fresh Beauty, several luxury private label brands, along with various UN-affiliated NGOs and non-profit organizations.

I can also tell stories without words.
